A public Facebook group called Crunchy Moms has nearly half a million members, the Guardian reported on Friday. The newspaper said the group regularly promotes misinformation. Its headline calls Crunchy Moms "the most dangerous" group on Facebook.

In August, measles spread through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. During the outbreak, one parent turned to the group for advice. They were considering vaccinating their three-year-old, partly to protect their six-month-old baby. "I'm nervous for my baby," the parent wrote.

Meta, which owns Facebook, says it removes content that could cause imminent physical harm. The Guardian's report raises the question of how that policy applies to a group this large, where false health claims circulate regularly.
