Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria clashed on X on Thursday. They traded personal insults, and each went after the other's intelligence. Mpasho and Ghafla Kenya both reported the exchange.

According to Ghafla Kenya, Babu fired the first personal shot with an ice cream analogy. "I know you have ice cream brain cells that melt under pressure. No wonder you struggle to understand predictions," he wrote. The outlet said the MP appeared to suggest that Mosiria struggles to grasp certain issues under pressure.

Mosiria quickly turned the analogy back on Babu. He wrote that ice cream brain cells were better than "a mind that relies on cheap stimulants and still cannot sustain an intelligent argument". He added that ice cream at least melts naturally, while arrogance and "intellectual bankruptcy" are much harder to cure.

Ghafla Kenya noted that Mosiria offered no evidence to back his claim about stimulants. Babu has not been reported as responding to that specific allegation.

Mosiria also challenged the MP to debate on substance rather than trade personal attacks. "Babu, next time come with facts, not insults. Nairobi needs brains, not noise!" he wrote.

In a separate post, Mosiria turned to examination irregularities and called for action against exam leakages, Ghafla Kenya reported. The outlet said the post brought a different subject into the conversation. It added that neither leader appeared ready to back down as the exchange drew reactions online.

After the spat, Mosiria announced a CRE revision session, Tuko News reported. The outlet linked the session to the 2026 KCSE exams. It quoted him using the word "Mtapita", Swahili for "you will pass".
