Media personality Nana Owiti says she would be happy for her ex, rapper King Kaka, if rumours linking him to creator Ema Kalekye are true. Ema has denied any romance, saying it was just a song repost.

Nana Owiti has spoken out on rumours that her former partner, rapper King Kaka, is dating digital creator Ema Kalekye. She said both of them deserve to move on with their lives. Ghafla Kenya reported that she spoke in a phone interview with Milele FM presenter Ankali Ray.

"Life lazima imove on," Nana said, meaning life must move on. According to Ghafla, she said she would be very happy for him if the rumours are true. She added that nobody can stay stuck in one place. She said she holds no grudges.

Nana said she values maturity and wants everyone to live their life as they see fit. She urged people to work on themselves after a breakup instead of dwelling on old relationships. In her words, people should aim to be better than they were yesterday. Mpasho also reported her comments, saying she is focused on bettering herself after the split.

The rumours took off online after King Kaka shared a video of Ema listening to his latest love ballad, Ghafla reported. Social media users read more into it, especially after the rapper playfully called Ema "Morio wa mine" in an online exchange.

Ema was quick to deny any romance. She said the interaction was purely professional and centred on promoting music. "Just to clear the air, I think this is being blown out of proportion. It was simply a song repost, nothing more," she said, according to Ghafla. The sources carry no comment from King Kaka.

According to Ghafla, King Kaka and Nana Owiti officially split in 2024 after several years together. They still co-parent their two children.
