Inter Milan bounced back from their derby defeat with a comfortable Champions League win at Feyenoord on Tuesday, the Nile Post reported. England full-back Djed Spence was the standout player. He set up the first goal and played a part in the second.
Yann Bisseck put Inter ahead inside eight minutes. Played in by Spence, he curled a fine finish from the edge of the box. Pio Esposito made it two in the 34th minute. He reacted first to Spence's deflected shot and headed in from close range.
Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski added the third. He cut across the Feyenoord box and bent a shot past goalkeeper Tjark Ernst. Esposito thought he had scored a second with a tap-in from six yards, but it was ruled out for offside.
The win follows a difficult few days for Inter. Their unbeaten start to the Serie A season ended on Saturday with a 3-1 loss to AC Milan at the San Siro. They had also taken only three points from their first three Champions League games.
Spence joined Inter from Tottenham in August. He played a starring role in England's run to the World Cup semi-finals, according to the Nile Post.
Inter are now 14th in the league phase table with six points. Feyenoord are 30th with three points after four games and face a fight to reach the play-offs. The Dutch side host Porto on Tuesday, November 24. Inter host Stuttgart the following day.
