Israel's election has ended without a clear path to a new government. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc won the most support from voters, Al Jazeera reported. So far, however, it has not won enough seats in the Knesset, Israel's parliament, to build a ruling coalition.
Palestinian-led parties won 15% of the vote, according to Al Jazeera. Their result leaves Israel's leaders with a hard choice. They can either partner with non-Zionist parties or accept political gridlock.
Ofer Cassif, a Knesset member from one of the Palestinian-led parties, told Al Jazeera that the "politics of exclusion" keep Israel in political deadlock. He said Israelis need to understand that the future must be one of Jewish-Palestinian partnership "and not another form of exclusion."
