Tanzanian singer Faustina Mfinanga, known as Nandy, has officially announced her new album, '911'. She made the announcement at a special event in Dar es Salaam on Sunday night, Mwananchi reported. The album comes eight years after her debut, 'The African Princess', released in 2018.

Nandy told guests that the album took about two years to prepare. She said that the process had faced several challenges. She added that she had worked hard to give fans quality music with a different flavour. She now wants to open a new chapter in her career, according to Mwananchi.

Unlike her earlier work, '911' has an international feel. It features artists from six countries: Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, the United Kingdom and Jamaica. The album is expected to carry more than 10 songs. To give fans a taste, Nandy took the stage and performed a new song, 'Oya', for the first time. The track will appear on the album.

Her husband, William Nicholaus Lyimo, known as Billnass, also spoke at the event. He said that he supports his wife's music career. He also explained the album's name. According to Billnass, the number 11 stands for November, the month Nandy was born. It is also his own birth date, April 11, 1993. The number nine stands for Nandy's birth date, November 9, 1992.

Her debut album remains a key part of her story, Mwananchi noted. It won her fans and produced hits such as 'Aibu' and 'Hazipo'. The new album follows a period in which Nandy has expanded her music business. She runs the Nandy Festival and her own record label, The African Princess.

'911' is set for official release on November 27, 2026. Before then, Nandy plans special listening events with fans in parts of East Africa and the United Kingdom.
